The show is renowned to be a ‘can’t-miss’ event in the fashion industry calendar and represents some of the most inspiring and creative designs from SA’s future top designers.

Derek Geddes ,Director of Brand Development at ELGAFD remarked that having some of the top people in the fashion industry like Martin Myers from Triple M Entertainment assisting in music selection as well as sound direction for the show can only help the students to reach there full potential and then having someone like Simon Deiner from SDR Photos do the photos for the show, the students will have a great portfolio to take with them as they enter the job market in 2013

The students will be showcasing their collections at three shows throughout the day, beginning at 15h00, 18h00 and 20h00 respectively.

Collections from the 1st and 2nd year students will be seen at the 15h00 show, and will showcase the students’ take on this year’s colour blocking trend. The 2nd year students will be displaying the preliminary transformation garments for this year’s SA Fashion Week.

The 18h00 and 20h00 fashion shows will represent the talents of the 3rd year students who will be displaying their unique Self Expression ranges, whereby they are encouraged to unleash their creativity through the design of avant garde garments not intended for the commercial market.

Tickets are R150 per fashion show and a cash bar is available.

THANK YOU FOR MISS NAMIBIA 2011

Dear Mart, Steve and JP

As you know, you built up the pageant with me form humble beginnings to what it is now.

I am indebted to all of you.

I don’t think I could do this without you.

Thank you for coming every year.

I have received such good feedback!

I am still absolutely passionate about the Miss Namibia, with all your support.

Please don’t let me down. I am the first to retire!!!

Lots of love to you all.

Conny

Thank you

Dear Martin

This year I had the privilege of sitting back and viewing the Elizabeth Galloway graduate collections from the front row (rare for me as I’m usually part of the technical team).
This afforded me the opportunity to have the full audience experience. And I must say I was absolutely blown away. It was a visual and aural feast!

Each piece of music truly enhanced the narrative of the story that was unfolding on the ramp, elevating each collection to an artistic statement where the whole was definitely more than the sum of the parts!

Elizabeth and I would like to thank you and Dave sincerely for undertaking to interpret the requirements of each of our young designers and advising on and selecting the right music for each collection.

We look forward to work with you and SMD Technical again in 2012!

Warm regards,

Gideon Malherbe – Managing Director
