Time to celebrate the majesty of Simple Minds they coming to tour SA

Simple Minds are arguably one of the best live bands in the world and over a thirty year career have been responsible for some of the most innovative and enduring anthems in rock music.

The band scored a string of hit singles, and are best known for their 1985 hit “Don`t You (Forget About Me)” (UK #7, US #1), from the soundtrack of the John Hughes film The Breakfast Club.

Their other more prominent hits include “Alive and Kicking” (UK #7, US #3) and “Belfast Child” (UK #1)

Simple Mind’s fans will revisit the many chapters of their storied career and more on the group’s Greatest Hits Live tour to South Africa.

1 & 2 November 2013 at the Big Top Arena at Carnival City in Johannesburg and

3 November at Grand Arena at GrandWest Casino in Cape Town.

Steve Louw the frontman of the band remarked that due to the unprecedented success of movie “Searching for Sugarman friends and fans have been asking for a show featuring myself and Willem Moller who people have seen at length in the movie.

Hence the show on Sunday 17 March at Alma Cafe in Rosebank .The performance will be just Willem and Steve playing all the hits and more and telling stories in an acoustic performance.
